Dueling Jax

Dr. Jill Biden has quietly taken on former first lady Melania Trump and her tone-deaf nihilistic green jacket with the words “I Don’t Really Care, Do U?” emblazoned in white on its back. It would have been controversial enough if all Melania had done was to don the jacket while prancing around in her new, “improved” Rose Garden where she could oversee the removal of flowering crab apple trees and vibrant-colored flowers, thus replacing President Kennedy’s design with a three-foot wide sidewalk and low-to-the ground pastel flowering shrubs.

But, no. She had to go and flaunt her fashion fiasco when she and that man went to the border to visit immigrant children separated from their parents. In her 5-inch Jimmy Choos, no less, and then claimed later that the jacket was sending a message to the media, who had been “mean” to her. I’m sure a few immigrant children were amused at that explanation, but others might have worried about their own future. Oh how can one ever begin to unpack the brain of the former first lady? Empathy was never in ascendance during the Trump regime.

Dr. Biden made an international impact with the jacket she wore to Cornwall where she and Joe met with Boris Johnson and his new wife: black with big white letters scrolling across the back, “LOVE.” That tells you everything you need to know about Jill. And Joe.

Melania, upon seeing those photos, responded in a fit of high dudgeon by commissioning a black jacket of her own, decorated on the back with, “What’s Love Got to Do with It?”

Rock star Tina Turner immediately fired off a tweet to Melania, imploring her, “Please stop wearing that jacket. You are infringing on my famous song title.”

Melania squinted at her phone, threw up her hands and said to no one in particular, “Who’s Tina Turner?”

The next day, Melania was spotted at Mar a Lago sporting a purple jacket with “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” embroidered in white letters on the back.

After she received a Tweet from Cyndi Lauper, Melania cried, “Why are they still out to get me? This is worse than Nazi Germany. Marjorie Taylor Greene told me so.

“And who is Cyndi Lauper?”
